Ithuba previously said the ticket was purchased from an independent retailer in Lindley, Free State. The PowerBall PLUS winner said he could not believe his eyes when the numbers on his slip corresponded with the winning combination.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. This windfall will transform not only my life but also the lives of my loved ones,” he said.

‘REMARKABLE WIN,’ SAYS LOTTERY CEO
Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza said the lucky winner defied the odds by selecting his own numbers instead of using the automated quick-pick method.
“This incredible win is even more remarkable considering the winner’s occupation as a temporary worker. His determination and unwavering hope have been rewarded beyond his wildest dreams, catapulting him into a new realm of financial freedom,” said Mabuza.
