Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of Phathutshedzo Nange with immediate effect as part of their expected mass exodus at the club.

Nange was always expected to be one of the casualties given his lack of game time under Arthur Zwane last season.

Since his arrival from Stellenbosch FC in 2021, Nange only made 31 competitive matches for Chiefs and scored two goals.

Chiefs took to their social media platforms to announce Nange’s exit on Thursday, and he becomes the second player to be released after Erick Mathoho.

The other player who left Naturena is Siyabonga Ngezana who was sold to Romanian giants Fotbal Club FCSB last week for a reported fee of R12 million.

KAIZER CHIEFS EXIT PAVES WAY FOR NANGE TO JOIN SUPERSPORT UNITED

Now, Nange can now join a club of his choice, and that is likely to be SuperSport United where he would reunite with Gavin Hunt among others.

SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews is on record of the Tshwane outfit’s interest in Nange following recommendations from Hunt.

And all they were waiting for is to see whether or not Chiefs had plans for him in the upcoming campaigning.
