PENN BADGELY TEASES RETURN OF JOE’S ENEMIES IN SEASON FIVE
American actor Penn Badgley plays the role of Joe Goldberg in the hit Netflix series You. On the fourth and latest season, Joe took on the new name of Johnathan Moore as he moved to England to escape his past in Madre Linda.
In Madre Linda, Joe faked his own death, murdered his wife Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) and left his son Henry with his friends. So, his move to England was yet another fresh start for him, but it seems death follows Joe. At the end of season four, he experiences some kind of rebirth and appears to be starting afresh – again, with new girlfriend Kate, played by Charlotte Ritchie.
Season five of the series will be the final season. At Netflix’s Tudum event, Badgley teased fans with the return of some of Joe’s enemies. He explained that Joe will be returning to New York and there’s lots of “loose ends” in terms of who he will be up against. Badgley did not mention names, but the following former stars are seen in the teaser:
- Marienne (Tati Gabrielle)
- Dr. Nicky (John Stamos)
- Karen (Natalie Paul)
- Paco (Luca Padovan)
- Joe’s son Henry
- Ellie (Jenna Ortega)
- Cary (Travis Van Winkle)
- Sherry (Shalita Grant)
- Lady Phoebe (Tilly Keeper)
- Nadia (Amy-Leigh Hickman)

HOMECOMING STORY FOR THE SERIAL KILLER
Tudum previously announced that season five will be the final season of You.
The series showrunner Sera Gamble told the publication that it was important for Joe to have a homecoming story which brings him back to New York.
“We wanted him to make a triumphant return to New York so he would be positioned side-by-side with exactly where we started,” said Gamble.
“We shaved the beard, gave him back the name and sent him home, just way up in the sky from where he was before,” continued Gamble.
