South African tennis player Kevin Anderson has announced Friday that he will be returning to South Africa in early 2020 to play an exhibition match. It’s all for a great cause and to inspire young South Africans.
The SA expat, who is based in Florida in the USA with his wife Kelsey and their newborn baby girl Keira, made the announcement on social media.
Anderson said: “I am excited to be returning to SA, in early 2020, to play an exhibition match at the national final of We Are Tennis RCS Group Rising Star Tennis!”
World class Anderson will play fellow South African Lloyd Harris in the match, which is set to be held in February in Soweto.
Anderson said Harris is part of a “new generation of players on the ATP Tour” and he could think of no better way to support than returning to SA to play this match in front of “family, friends and fans” and to engage with all the young boys and girls who will have made it through to the finals.
