Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has explained the reason behind the ‘wholesale’ changed the club made to their starting lineups in Spain.
The Buccaneers are currently in Marbella, Spain, for their pre-season camp and have already picked up two victories thus far.
Many fans would’ve been wondering why some of the club’s regulars haven’t started in either match!
In fact, at half-time in both matches, various substitutions took place and Ncikazi has since explained the reason behind this.

“We are trying to deliver minutes to our players in pre-season,” the Orlando Pirates assistant coach told FARPost.
“The games are also part of training. So for us, it is training. We are trying to balance between minutes and possibilities inside our squad. And from there we try to get the best out of the game to improve through the process.”

In other news, Former Orlando Pirates defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza has been released by Richards Bay FC.
The Veteran defender spent just one season at the club following his seven year spell at the Buccaneers.
Nyauza made 22 starts for the Natal Rich Boys, scoring one goal for the club.
He can now join any club after becoming a free agent.

“DStv Premiership side Richards Bay FC have decided to part ways with veteran defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza after one season at the club.” a KickOff report read.
“Richards Bay have since also terminated the services of Khetha Shabalala while deciding against renewing the contract of Ndiviwe Mdabuka.”
