Prince Louis, who is fourth in line to the British throne, celebrates his sixth birthday on Tuesday 23 April.

PRINCE LOUIS CELEBRATES SIXTH THRONE

The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton released a new photo of their youngest child, Prince Louis on his sixth birthday. Prince Louis turned six on Tuesday 23 April. Prince Louis is fourth in line to the British throne following his father, Prince William and siblings Prince George (10) and Princess Charlotte (8).

In the photo, Prince Louis is lying on a blanket. The photo credit in the caption of the photo is given to the six-year-old’s mother – Princess Kate.

“Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis! 🎂. Thank you for all the kind wishes today. 📸 The Princess of Wales,” read the post.

The image posted to the couple’s official social media accounts on Tuesday was credited to Catherine, Princess of Wales. A royal source told CNN, said that Prince William and Kate were grateful for the messaged received for Prince Louis. The source also said the photo was taken by Kate in the last few days in Windsor.

“This is in an unprecedented time for the Wales family as the princess continues her recovery,” said the source.

FIRST PHOTO RELEASED AFTER KATE MIDDLETON’S PHOTO EDITING FIASCO

This is the first photo to be released since Princess Kate’s photo editing fiasco. In March, Princess Kate made headlines after she apologised for her Photoshop fail after sharing a photo of herself with her kids for Mother’s Day.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day,” she tweeted.

Cosmopolitan reported that agencies took down the photo because of “manipulation” concerns. Sky News reported the photo had been saved in photo-editing software Adobe Photoshop twice on an Apple Mac, which was found through metadata.

While Princess Kate made headlines over the photoshop fail, she was dealing with so much more. Just over a week later, she revealed that she had cancer, via an emotional vide on Twitter.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” she said as she is seen seated on a garden bench at Windsor Castle.

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she continued.
